Who are we
The Edison Venture Capital Fund was established to invest specifically in later stage Australian start-up ventures that will provide both domestic and international investors with access to innovative, high growth investment opportunities. The Fund is unconditionally registered with the Department of Industry, Science, and Resources under the Venture Capital Act 2002.

Our Vision
The Fund has assembled a management team of internationally experienced and qualified personnel from Australia, the USA, Canada, Brazil and Hong Kong.
The team has expertise in funds management, international law, accounting, venture capital, M&A, IPOs, trade sales and technology.
The Fund is focused on the industry sectors of critical technologies, health Industries, and low emission technologies.
Projects currently under consideration incorporate artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, big data analysis, and robotic process automation (RPA).
INNOVATION HUB
Edison Venture Capital Fund recognises that start-up ventures require more than just capital. Critical to the success of any start-up venture is expertise and experienced management.
The Hub will enhance the capacity of the Fund to identify and select successful start-ups and will also assist Edison to conduct initial analysis and due diligence on potential ventures.
Unique to the Edison Venture Capital Fund model will be the opportunity for start-up ventures to participate in the Innovation Hub and take advantage of the professional services offered by the Hub.

Key Personnel
EVC Management Pty Ltd is both the General Partner and Investment Manager for the Edison Venture Capital Fund. The Investment Manager is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the Fund, all compliance issues, and identification, evaluation and management of all investee companies. The directors of the General Partner, and the Investment Committee, comprise internationally experienced and qualified personnel from Australia, the USA, Canada, Brazil and Hong Kong.
Alan Rose
Alan is an experienced corporate executive with over 35 years’ experience as a corporate adviser, venture capitalist and company analyst. He has a proven track record of working with start-up ventures, raising venture capital, developing strategic business plans and performing due diligence. He holds a Master of Business Administration (Torrens University), has an Advanced Diploma in Management and Diplomas in Education, and Teaching.
He has held board positions on several regulated entities including a registered Pooled Development Fund, a registered General Insurance Company, and a Licensed Security Dealer and has provided strategic advice to the boards of several ASX public listed companies. He is currently an equity partner and corporate adviser with a Brisbane based legal firm and holds board positions with a number of start-up ventures.
Dr Paul Boldy
Dr Boldy has a doctorate from Newcastle University, Australia in Green buildings and sustainability. He also has a law degree from Leeds University, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Bradford University Management Centre. Dr Boldy is a globally experienced executive having held senior positions across Europe, USA, the Middle East and Africa as well as a number of counties within the Asia Pacific Region.
Most recently he was the Deputy Chairman of PrimAsia Corporate Services Limited a Hong Kong based corporation, a licensed Trust and Company Service Provider (TCSP). He is currently the Managing Partner of the Asia Pacific (APAC) region for the ALFA Group. The ALFA Group is a boutique advisory firm providing both debt and equity from funders across North America, Western Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Funders include specialist hedge funds, single and multi-family offices, High Net Worth Individuals (HNWI) and Private Banks.
